Kim Smith

Kimberly A. Smith is the Chief Innovation Officer and co-leads the Digital Promise Center for Learner Pathways Innovation supporting a national network of forward-thinking school district leaders, postsecondary and industry leaders working in partnership with communities to co-create pathways systems and practice solutions that advance equity and excellence for every learner. She previously co-created the Digital Promise Center for Inclusive Innovation and the community-centered education R&D model to shift solutions to be centered in the lived experience of learners. She held previous education leadership positions at the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship, PBS, Discovery Education and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. An Aspen-Pahara Institute fellow and co-founder of the National Charter Collaborative, she received her MBA from Johns Hopkins University and BS in Journalism from the University of Colorado Boulder. She received her M.B.A from Johns Hopkins University and Bachelors of Science in Journalism from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
